Mock Servers

Nidra runs a local HTTP mock server for a collection, with an automatically assigned port or a port you configure. This lets clients exercise stable endpoints without calling the real API.

Import collection endpoints

Import endpoints from the collection into a mock server. The import view presents a folder-grouped tree with search and filtering, plus Select all for bulk imports.

For each imported endpoint, configure the response status, headers, and body. Changes use Nidra's standard Save and Revert workflow.

Stable mock aliases

Each collection has a permanent mock alias. Refer to it from environment variables with $mock:alias so requests keep a stable mock reference even when the server uses an automatically assigned port.

Send & Capture

Send & Capture sends the real request, resolves its authentication and environment variables, and captures the returned status, headers, and body as the endpoint's mock response.

The capture panel includes its own environment selector and panel-level authentication override. Use these controls when capture needs a different environment or credentials from the saved request.

Current limitation

Mock servers support local HTTP in version 1. HTTPS is not yet supported.
